A prolific bloomer producing clusters of pure-white, semi-double flowers that are lightly fragrant. Its standout, abundant white flowers complement the palette of our gardens from late spring through to autumn.
'KORbin' is the breeding code for the famous 'Iceberg' rose, one of the world's most beloved garden roses and a classic of Mediterranean garden design. Pure white double flowers in clusters cover the plant from late spring through autumn — typically May through November in Mediterranean climates — with peaks in May and September. The flowers have a light sweet fragrance. The bronze-tinted young foliage matures to bright glossy green. Hardy to -20°C, vigorously disease-resistant (rare among white roses), drought-tolerant once established, the rose tolerates heat, alkaline soils and partial shade better than most modern roses; it remains a top-rated white rose worldwide.
'Iceberg' is available as a bush rose (1–1.5 m), standard rose, climbing form (3 m) and weeping standard, providing extraordinary versatility in Mediterranean garden design. Plant bush forms in informal groups in dry borders, in formal arrangements as a low hedge or parterre filling, in mass plantings along long paths, or as flanking pairs at entrances and gates. Standard 'Icebergs' on tall stems create elegant rhythmic structure in Mediterranean gardens; the climbing form covers pergolas, walls and arbours generously. Pair white 'Iceberg' with the soft purple of Lavandula, the deep blue of Salvia 'Mainacht', the silver of Stachys byzantina and the haze of Erigeron karvinskianus. Light tip-pruning monthly maintains continuous flowering.
