One of the most interesting challenges for a landscape designer is a small garden. At the same time, it is one of the most difficult design tasks. To achieve the desired sense of comfort in the garden and yet not overload it.
A small garden can be both an intimate and secluded sanctuary and an open, free space; it can become a collector's space for small or even tiny plants, a productive garden with herbs and wild strawberries, a bench on a patch of meadow, or, conversely, far from romantic—strict, formal, and prestigious; it can be entirely containerized and mobile.
To understand the requirements, mood, and desires of the people who will use the garden, and to translate them into a project—this is the designer's work.
We believe that a small garden should have a distinct individuality, be low-maintenance, consist of a small community of trouble-free plants, feature adequate paving, and meet modern requirements.
Any limiting factor, such as a lack of space, makes the design more interesting.
